A request for a PROPOSAL for Recycling/Solid Waste Removal to include supplying TWO enclosed 26-yard split-door, recycling container, and FOUR enclosed 44-yard Trash containers with split-doors and walk-in backs. Also include trucking of Recycling to Brown County Metro Recycling Facility, and Solid Waste to The Brown County Transfer Station from the Morrison Recycling center, 4104 Lark Rd.

Implements of Husbandry (IoH)

Under Wisconsin Act 377, vehicles defined as Implements of Husbandry (IoH) and  Agricultural Commercial Vehicles (Ag CMV) are allowed to operate at approximately 15% higher weight limits than previously allowed, or 92,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) and 23,000 pounds per axle, dependent on the number of axles and axle spacing.  Such vehicles are still subject to seasonal or special weight limit postings.

The Town Board of Morrison has adopted a motion to abide by 2013 Wisconsin Act 377, which sets new weight and length limits for IoH and Ag CMV’s.

Applying for a Permit:

If the IoH or Ag CMV exceeds the length and weight limits in Wisconsin Act 377, then a permit must be submitted and approved by the Town of Morrison prior to traveling on any of the Town’s roads.

Application Review:

The Town of Morrison has up to three weeks from receipt of the application to provide a final decision on the application.  Any denial of a no fee permit will be provided in writing to the applicant.


There were 564 households out of which 38.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.0% were married couples living together, 4.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.8% were non-families. 14.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.93 and the average family size was 3.24. 2011 estimated census of 1,601 population.

In the town the population was spread out with 29.0% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 30.0% from 25 to 44, 23.3% from 45 to 64, and 10.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 103.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 107.1 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $55,461, and the median income for a family was $59,013. Males had a median income of $36,776 versus $23,571 for females. The per capita income for the town was $19,841. About 4.6% of families and 6.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 8.6% of those under age 18 and 3.0% of those age 65 or over.
